No, however, NYS Insurance Law provides that an insurer can surcharge a
policy for 3 years, if they pay in excess of $1,000 for an at fault vehicle

Do I need to do if I have a claim?

- If
you are involved in an automobile accident you should always contact the
local police to file a report, exchange information with all parties
involved. The most important information to get is the insurance information
(company # and policy #) of the other driver, found on the insurance card.

you to do is protect your property from further damage -- make reasonable
and necessary repairs required to stop further damage. The second thing to
